When someone says that “influencer careers are over,” I seriously contemplate their IQ. It’s an absurd statement. It sounds borderline childish and discontent to be honest. An influencer’s “influence” aligns perfectly with the long held paradigm of marketing. I agree with you. I appreciate your point about the self serving words of any journalists who don’t prioritize ethics. And…..nanny nanny boo boo! I staked my claim on my name on Tik Tok before anyone got it! ?

James, what a helpful video. So interesting to learn about Krista Roberson‘s success on TikTok. Thank you for letting us know that it is an app where bloggers Instagramers and Youtubers should be posting as well. ~Janis from Florida

I feel like TikTok wasn’t explained right. The beauty of it is the co-creation you can do by lifting up content from a complete stranger and making it new. Also more about in the moment light and entertaining content vs super staged or planned. Anyway I agree that TikTok is where is at!!! Follow me @miles.and.smiles

Everyone is going to tiktok because it’s the “hottest trend” it’s going to be forgotten about sooner than you think. People are tired of facebook, snapchat is done and there isn’t anything else to get excited about on Instagram so tik tok is next. Everyone is trying so hard to be known on social media and they think tik tok is the place to be. ITS NOT!!!

Hey, forgot where the best place to ask questions is so I’ll just post mine here.

Do you have any other podcast / YouTubers you suggest to follow for content like this. I’ve been following along for a while and am in search for more specific content that deals mostly with instagramers and content creators. ( I’ve looked to Julie Solomon’s Influencer, The Goal Digger and a few others)

I’m trying to constantly learn but find a lot of other podcasts focus on webaniers or entrepreneurs and I’m simply not there yet. Looking to grow first then expand into other passions. That’s why I like whenever you interview you always ask if you were starting over today what would you want to know.

Also are there any webaniers (however it’s spelled) or other courses you would suggest that go more in depth besides just saying be consistent and stay engaged. Both those tips are helpful but looking to expand my knowledge and keep adding to it.

Thanks, love the show, wish they were longer!

The word “influencer” is really being overused. Seems everyone on social media these days wants to be an “influencer”, this is getting to be extremely saturated and redundant. There is going to be a social media peak coming. Not everyone can be an influencer, it’s impossible. So all of you who think you can be an influencer, move on and find something else to do.
